Introduction
It's Zaria Ahmed and I'm here just check out or add-in new stuffs about The Sims Social. I'm also a daily player that if feel free to add me if you want.
T.S.S Unsinkable Week 2 (Pre-quest start)
Well today marks the start of the second week of the T.S.S Unsinkable series. Apart from the fact that there is a music skill item and a logic skill item, I do not know much about the quest and other Week 2-related items as I have not finished the Week 1 quest (needed to start Week 2). I can tell you, though, that there is a new promotional quest, MyLowe's Can Remember It For You .... It is alike the previous Progressive or Dove quests. Completion of the quest will award you with the MyLowe's Workbench - a not-so-useful item that gives you 0 house value, but may drop Repair Drops when you interact with it. In my opinion, I think that Sims Social quests have become progressively harder in comparison to the simple weekly quests back in 2…
T.S.S Unsinkable Week 1
This week (17 - 23 January) is The Sims Social's T.S.S. Unsinkable Week 1 week. As part of the two week quest, a temporary quest location has been introduced— a large ship consisting of two levels and various rooms such as a boiler room and a cargo bay. It's sad that we can't keep the ship, but that's not for us to decide. The chief items in this week's theme are the Cogsworth Time Machine, ArcSteam Automobile, FootGroove Dance Floor and the Grandster Master Stove. This week also marks the beginning of a new three-part quest (Oceans Of Love) ending in two weeks. There is a lot of work to complete on The Sims Social this week with four items to finish so I better get going!
Unsinkable Week!
We've heard rumors that a new two week theme is going to start tomorrow. It will have a brand new quest location called TSS Unsinkable, a whole new batch of clothes for ladies and gentlemen, and several fairly large project items.
If you get a chance, stock up on car related items (Tyre Pump, Batteries etc) because we'll be needing them with the new driving skill item!
Victorian Romance Week!
The Victorian Romance Week started a few hours ago and we've already got tons of content posted up on the wiki! There are two main project items (the Evergreen Bird House and the Ivory Tower Tree House) and a music skill item (the VicAges Harp) that we can finish. All three of those items are required to complete the new three part Victorian Values! quest.
There are a handful of new shop items that are strangely colored for 'victorian' items, but we have them! This week was expected to be slightly reminescent of the Victorian Elegance Week from December of 2011, but it seems to have a more modern interpretation to it. But there are a few new clothing items in the shop. The main clothing article requires that you build the VicAges Female Man…
Upcoming Winter Pets Theme!
We've heard rumors of a new winter pets theme that will include a baby deer and a polar bear cub. Those huge things in your yard at the Winter Chalet will be their houses! The new theme will last two weeks and we will need to use Alan and Vicky at the Winter Chalet to complete it.
We've seen a major boost in new wiki contributors lately and I just wanted to say thank you to anyone and everyone that has helped out lately! You guys are amazing
Pet Theme!!
The new Pet Theme week series begins on November 22 (GMT)! It will be a two week theme series where you can build a dog house or cat house as project items - and if you finish both weekly quests and a skill item on time you can have a special limited time pet!
Our first pet will be awarded when we finish the Dog House or Cat Hamlet project items. In order to build them, you're going to need loads of Rubber Duckies! We'll need 22 Companionship (for cats) or 22 Loyalty (for dogs) - they're both crafting items, and each one takes 2 Rubber Duckies and 1 Water plus 2 of either a Cat Collar or Dog Bone. That means you'll need 44 rubber duckies for each pet house!
The pets will be unique items- we can train them to earn Pet Stars and use the Pet Star…
Egypt Theme Week & Lot Expansions at Beach House
The new Egypt Theme week is coming out tomorrow and it will have a whole host of new items. This will be a two week theme, that comes with a limited time quest location. You will need to build three different project items and complete both of the weekly quests. The big award? Two of the lot expansion spots at your beach house.
This theme has been long requested on the official EA forums ideas/suggestions thread and it is exciting to finally see it happen. With the new location they'll be adding tons of new shop items to make it look pretty. And we'll (of course) have the option to purchase these items over the two weeks. Are you excited yet?
Little changes
We've seen loads of new editors around lately and I want to say welcome to everyone!! You guys are working hard and getting some amazing stuff done! The admins have added a few little beautifying extras to the wiki over the last few days, to make everything just a little bit more shiny.
You'll see a new icon in your web browser (next to the name of this webpage) that is a combination of the Sims PlumbBob and the wikia brackets that was designed just for you! You wouldn't believe it, but making a 16 x 16 pixel icon look much like anything can be a challenge. It may get more fancy later, but we're pretty proud of our work for the moment.
In addition to the favicon, we're working on a new wordmark for the top of the wiki. It will replace the te…
Halloween Castle Quest/Midnight Grove Bugs
The new theme week is here and with loads of issues. The Your Very Own Halloween Castle! quest requires that you clear several different Yard items from the new Midnight Grove location. You can use the Language Trick to get the Halloween Ghosts, Skulls and the Hand Of Horror to respawn - but NOT the Dark Bramble or the Lagoon Snake.
Some issues with the Hand of Horror mean that the first four hands that come with your Midnight Grove will not drop Silver. But you can use the Language Trick to get more that WILL drop it. The Silver also says you can investigate Vampires in your yard to get silver, but this yard item will not be available until a later week in October.
Halloween Ghosts are required to complete the quest, and none of these will …
Halloween Theme!
We've been hearing some buzz about the new theme week coming out tomorrow - and you'll be thrilled to know that TSS is rolling out another Halloween theme for the month of October! There are loads of new creepy and exciting items, and as an added bonus they are bring back all the Haunted Skills items from last year along with many of last year's favorite at HALF PRICE! Plus fun new Sim costumes and outfits!
AND - if that wasn't enough - they are unveiling a new Halloween themed Quest Locations! We keep hearing that if you complete the quest on time, you can keep the quest location! If the rumors are true, and we hope they are, that would add a fourth location to anyone able to finish off their project and skill items.
We updated the wiki nav…
Changes In Game and to The Wiki
There have been a few changes to the Sims Social over the last two weeks - the most notable is that you can now change your Sim's gender for 1000 instead of the requirement! You can now change from male to female to male and back again until your heart is content (or you run out of Social Points). For those of you who have purchased all the clothes you can possibly think of and still want to add to your House Value, this might be something to consider. You'll still get to keep all your current gender clothes in storage, so your house value won't go down once you switch genders.
Some of the admins are going to be making changes to the current wiki navigation bar (green bar at the top of the screen) to make things easier to find and to hel…
Italian Holidays Week
A new theme week is about to start in a few hours that will be another two week long quest series! The Italian Holiday Week theme will run from 9/27 to 10/10 and be a similar style to the Mystery Mansion Week stuff we just finished. There will be a new, temporary quest location at the Italian Villa that will appear on your Sim's Location map. You can complete the quest steps by going to that location and working on all the skill items that appear.
The new two week quest is called Wonders of Ancient Rome and will require you to finish building the Venutia Lusso Marble Bath, My Gladion Pal and the The Perfect Sim statue. You will need to complete all the Art Skill levels on the Venutia Pasta Counter, and complete the two weekly quests and col…
Murder Mystery Week
The new Murder Mystery Party Week is coming out tomorrow - and it will include a 2 week long, 9 part quest. This quest will add a new location and your Sim will have to find clues and finish skill items in the new mansion to unlock an additional 9 rooms. This location may only be available for the two weeks during the quest - so be sure to enjoy it while you can! There are two prizes for completing the quest on time - a driving skill car (listed below) and a Sirenia Oasis Fountain that looks similar to the Koi Pond with a mermaid fountain in it.
The new skill items are the Cassius Grand Piano, Greg's Billiards Table, Le Cassius Violin, Corpulent Master Stove, Muskwood Writing Desk, Cassius Gramophone, and Alabaster 6.25 Ltr sports car (ques…
Newbee here but not to wiki
Hey there.
I was asked to helpout by a friend and I am more than willing. It's been many many years since I did wiki coding so please be patient with me. I never inted to "wreck" things but I will take my time and take baby steps until I get into the swing of things. Drop me a line if you want or have suggestions. I don't bite.... well normally I don't lol.
Fairy Week Theme Coming Soon
The newest theme we will see in just over 24 hours will be the Fairy Week theme. It will have a large sized project item tree called the MeadowShine Fairy Tree. We'll also have a few new yard items, and a handful of new backpack items this week. The clothing previews look like we'll be getting the option to add more wings to our Sim's clothing collection and a new shirt with a cape! The tricky part is that many of these items will be SimCash only.
The new quest page called Do You Believe In Fairies? has been posted if you'd like a quick preview.
Happy Simming!
Sesame Seeds and Green Tea Bug
The new yard items this week (Sesame Seeds and Green Tea) are bugged. You may have noticed they were hard to find in your yard, and they do not reappear when you reload the page. Some of you may have accidentally cleared them before you realized you needed them for the Just Wanna Have Sumo Fun! quest.
The good news is that the spawn problem has been reported to the developers, and they are 'investigating' the issue and working on a fix for it. You may remember there was a similar problem with the mythic Flower Head Garland back in May. The developers were able to patch the game mid-week and force the item to spawn correctly, and they extended the time for the quest. We may see a similar fix to the two new items.
There have been several proble…
A Taste of Japan Week & User Page Infoboxes
The new Sushi theme week is here and we've got loads of new items! To add to the fun, all the items released last November in the Japan Week update are on sale!
Check out the new item pages Kurage Sushi Bar and Tatsu Sumo Ring for this week! Be sure to plant 3 Purple Flowers for the new Just Wanna Have Sumo Fun! quest.
Also, we've got a new feature for you to add to your User Page - check out the Useful Templates page. Just copy/paste the My Sim Info box onto your User Page, and add in all your info to show it off!
Need any help? Just send me a message on my talk page and I'll help you out.
Happy Simming!
Purple Week and New Features
After a quick update this morning, The Sims Social now shows possible drops from each item action! You can hover over any action (in the skill menu or regularly) to see the items that are possible drops from doing that action. If you already have the maximum number of an item in your inventory, that item wont drop from doing an action and won't show up if you hover over the action button. See the picture below.
We are hoping this will be a permanent feature of the game and not just another option the developers have been playing with like the "Read for Fun" action on chairs. If during this week you notice that we're missing anything on possible drops from any item, please feel free to jump on in and edit those pages.
The new theme week that …
TIPS TO AVOID FROM GET STUCK WHEN PLAYING SIMSNAP
^.^ hye guys.. this is my 1st blog here.. and im going to share some tips about simsnap. I hope it is usefully to you guys!
Do you ever been stuck while playing the simsnap..?? There are TWO tips that i found (experience by myself):
- AVOID from click any request at the inbox. You MUST close the inbox (by click done) and play the simsnap first. You CAN collect the request after you finish playing the simsnap..!
- AVOID send request to friend if your booster crafting item is going empty and you're about to play the simsnap.
The reason for this TWO situations is because sometimes TSS pop-up box had slow loading, then if you are playing the simsnap before the pop-up of 'accept the request at the inbox' or 'send the crafting item request' are finish l…
British Eccentric Games Items Leaving Shop
Nearly all of the items released just a few weeks ago during British Eccentric Games Week will be leaving the shop at the end of the current theme week. This includes the two skill items: Coates' Umbrella Stand and the Prestige Glass Harmonica Table. If you happen to be building a giant fence of WotWot Leafy Barriers or need any of the other items to complete your home's look, get them now while they're still available! The floor tiles and wallpaper options introduced that week will also be leaving the shop at the new week theme update at midnight on August 23 (GMT).
James Bond/Spy Week
As most of you have already seen, the new week theme coming out in a few hours will be the James Bond/Spy week! It includes a monstrous project item, the SeaLox Luxury Yacht, that requires LOADS and LOADS of backpack items. If the previews aren't changed before tonight, this needs 17 planks - yes, you need to craft 17 planks over the next week to build it.
The Yacht will be placed in the water at your beach house, so if you want to clean up your beach house yard to start collecting the items you'll need, I'd recommend it.
There will also be a Shark Tank item for sale in the shop - that looks like it will be 15K Social Points. So start sending out free gifts of social points to your friends now.
This week will be filled with bizarre items that…
Changes to SimSnap!!
According to a recent blog post on the EA Forums, the Sims Social developers are going to roll out major changes to the new SimSnap mini-game.
Last Monday they changed the amount of time it takes get a new life from 9 hours down to 6. This helped many people, but other changes are still in store to help out everyone else. They plan to fix the browser zooming problems, reducing the number of items it takes to craft boosters, and dropping the Kochanski Chess Set requirement to finish part 3 of the Game On! [[Quests and Achievements|quest].
Hello Sims Social Wikia !
I just love to play Sims Social =D

Anniversary Week - daily quest series!
Many of you may have seen a few previews for the upcoming anniversary week to celebrate the one year anniversary since the official release date of The Sims Social! Initially there was some concern that the remake items we've seen before (like The Great Dragon Tower) were all going to be SimCash only items.
- BUT -
The latest news is that the week will be filled with one quest each day, in a similar fashion to the Festive Chic week quests over the week of Christmas in 2011. Each quest will look back at some of the popular Sims characters and themes we've seen and the reward for completing the quest will be a remake version of popular items.
- AND -
If you manage to collect all 7 of the special remake items, you will get a wonderful new Driving…
Stock Up on Social Points!
The new astronomy/science themed geek week will be released tomorrow and it looks like most of the new skill items will require loads of Social Points to purchase. The project item looks like it will be free, like many of the other project items released in the past. But the sneak previews we've seen of the chess set, and several other items show a 5K Social Points price tag per item.
If you've checked your stock and are low, or just blew all your social points on the G King Counter, don't worry. You can still request social points as a free gift from your Sims friends. You can also use the 'Splash About' action on hot tubs like the InSimity Skytide Hot Tub while visiting friends to get 2 times the normal social points drop per action.

Power Drills
The drop rate for Power Drill has changed a number of times over the last few days. It appears as though the final switch is going to add the Power Drill to the general repair drops. So now when you repair an item, it could drop a hammer, wrench, nails, screws, dunkin donuts boost, or power drill. In addition to the repair drop, power drills are also dropping from actions that refill your hunger need too! They will be much easier to obtain now, which is good news for anyone still working on the Penthouse projects.
Be sure to help us update the British Eccentric Games Trophy page with any special item drops you get for polishing your new trophy. And head on over to the Player Levels page to check out the new 60 levels added to the game yeste…
Earned my Helicopter!
I'm so happy that I have finally earned my DragonBug 270 helicopter a week earlier than the expiry date!
New Levels & Back to Normal Energy Refill
During the day today, EA released a new set of Player Levels that now extends beyond level 100. There are a total of 60 new levels! If you're one of the players enjoying the new 100+ levels, feel free to help update the player levels page.
You may have noticed that around the time of the new levels release, your energy bar wasn't filling as fast. The half time refill period is officially over, and we are back to waiting five minutes for each energy. I hope you used the half-time refills to get as many items built and simoleons as you could.
Remember we should still see two of the unreleased British Eccentric Games week items drop this weekend! And if you haven't seen it yet, check out the British Eccentric Games Trophy page and help us post …
British Eccentric Games Week
The new theme this week British Eccentric Games has arrived! There are several new skill items, instead of the usual project items to complete this week. The Coates' Umbrella Stand will provide you with additional Athletic Skill levels, the Prestige Glass Harmonica Table will level up your Sim's Music Skill, and the Percival Penny Farthing bicycle will give you an additional Athletic Skill boost for some SimCash. To check out all the new items visit the British Eccentric Games week page.
It appears as though there are another three items that will be released over the weekend.
This flag is similar to the Flagged Up Pole we saw released a few weeks ago during Country & Western Week, but it has a gold coating and three new options. This item …
Time Extension!
For those of you who have not been able to complete your various penthouse projects, there is good news! We have been granted an additional *three* days to finish everything and we get to keep the double speed and energy!
Also - If you're having trouble getting into the office because of garbage, see the note on the ZecuTime Home Office page.
New Chair activity!
This week we've seen several surprise interactions with random items and it appears as though EA is trying out new item interactions across the board. Several days ago there was a short period where you could wash/clean windows. The newest interaction seems to make chairs more functional (without something sitting directly in front of them like a computer or typewriter).
Say hello to the "Read for Fun" interaction. The chair must not have anything directly in front of it for this to work. Find any chair and use the action 'Read for Fun' and your Sim will pull a book out and go to sit down in the chair. This raises the Fun need and will drop all the Backpack Items associated with fun actions: . Some of the other actions have become available…
Helicopter Reward!
In case you haven't wandered over to the skills category in the shop recently, you may not have seen the helicopter reward from the A Lofty Challenge! quest in the driving skills section.
The DragonBug 270 looks like it will have several driving skill levels for your Sim to master, and a handful of interactions for you and visiting friends to enjoy. It looks like working this hard to complete that Penthouse on time might actually be worth it.
Double Your Speed and Energy Refill!
EA is giving us yet another special present this week!! Starting tomorrow for one entire week they will be giving us double the walking speed -AND- our energy bar will refill twice as fast! If you have the ninja trait maxed out already, there may be little or no difference (but we'll have to wait and see).
This should make getting your Penthouse cleared up and the CuisineMuse Master Kitchen built much more quickly! Happy Simming, everyone!
The announcement by EA suggested the double time would start on July 12 with the new week's update, but it has not happened yet. No word on if this is still a possibility, or if there is a glitch.
Sims Projects Part 2 Update
My projects update only 2 days later!
1st is the quest ones that are not expired.
1-Dressing Room 3/4 = 2/5 = Got to the next stage
Then the quest item that is expired but is sitting in my side bar
2- Leisure Pool. 3/3 = 6/8 =Same
Then the expired items.
3- Flower Van. 2/3 = 1/8 = Same
4- Zen Garden 1/3 = 4/5 =Same
5- Angelic Bed. 3/3 = 8/8 = DONE Yay!
6- Fairy Tale Tower 3/3 = 6/8 = Up two levels
7- BBQ 3/3 = 5/8 = Same
And the expired one that I'm not concernd with finishing any time soon is this one:
8- Country Stage 1/3 = 4/8
New Ataraxia Leisure Pool Interaction!!
For those of you who completed the second phase of building the Ataraxia Leisure Pool and then immediately regretting having the add on slide, beach ball, and pool float there is good news! You now have the option to remove them!
EA added the interaction recently to 'pack up' these large pieces of equipment on your pool, with no energy cost to you. You can 'Unpack' them again at any time. So if a bright orange slide doesn't fit your sophisticated backyard pool and bar area, pack those things up and relax.
EA Gifts may be here for a while!
The newest surprise gift session from EA to players has been running three days and counting. Strange sims show up on your doorstep and provide gifts of Hope, Buttons, Social Points, Energy, and Simoleons. Some people are receiving a gift at both their Penthouse AND regular Home or Beach House. It seems as though these people left their Sim at the penthouse before logging out of the game, and were double gifted for their trouble. No word if this is a glitch or an on-purpose move from EA.
There is no way to know how long this gifting session will last, but in all likelihood we'll continue to see them until the end of this theme week cycle. So saddle up and hope tomorrow's gift is something you can use!
Sims Social
Been trying to finish up building a lot of items on my sims game.
1st is the quest ones that are not expired.
1-Dressing Room 2/4 = 2/5
Then the quest item that is expired but is sitting in my side bar
2- Leisure Pool. 3/3 = 6/8
Then the expired items.
3- Flower Van. 2/3 = 1/8
4- Zen Garden 1/3 = 4/5
5- Angelic Bed. 3/3 = 7/8
6- Fairy Tale Tower 3/3 = 4/8
7- BBQ 3/3 = 5/8
And the expired one that I'm not concernd with finishing any time soon is this one:
8- Country Stage 1/3 = 4/8
It's really hard as many know to finish up an item in time to get the bounses when you have to ask so many times for so many items to help you and sometimes there are bugs preventing those things from working. >.>
And then to try and work on one project where I can still get s…
New EA Gifts!
For those of you who logged in today and noticed that something was a little different - there is a strange sim standing in your doorway offering you a suspicious package - Fear not! EA announced on their forums today that they would be giving gifts to anyone who logged in today and claimed it.
You can see their official announcement here: EA forums
So these strange sims lurking around your house are not a virus or a creepy interloper, but in fact a genuine effort by EA to send us all some love (and Hope). I thought I might as well post this on the Community blog, just in case any of you stumble around looking for information about it. So just this once, it is ok to accept strange packages from Sims you dont know.

Madness
While I am sitting here on this wikia I am quickly realizing how long I have been playing "The Sims Social". Seems like yesterday the app just opened up to the public and I was quickly racing to complete the long list of quests along with all of the other early starters. Since then the game has really grew from weekly themes to weekly limited questlines to a larger focus on crafting and now careers. I haven't been this addicted to a social game in a very long time and I can't see myself stopping anytime soon. Enough of my rambling for the moment. Happy gaming everyone.
Will the addiction ever end????

Can't fight the addiction!!

And another stage of Sims Social obsession begins.
I have never had much use for Facebook. (Sorry, Facebook!) I had played ONE other Facebook game (Superpoke Pets) and quickly got tired of it. But after several of my friends started playing The Sims Social, I had to give it a look. And I immediately became obsessed with skills, quests, finding out what exactly you can do with social interactions once you reach "Frienemies", and so on.
Skill items are my favorite. They were the thing that made me eventually cave in and buy SimCash. And once that door was open, I had to buy more and more skill items, until finally I had everything that had ever come out (at least since I've been playing!), and adding more people to get more collectibles to unlock more skills to skill up more items...
